The Grand Budapest Hotel is a 2014 British-German dramatic-comedy film written and directed by Wes Anderson. It stars Ralph Fiennes [who looks a lot like Stefan Zweig] as a concierge who works in conjunction with one of his employees to prove his innocence after he had been framed for murder. Wes Anderson wrote the screenplay, directed the film and was one of its producers. The film stars Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric and Adrien Brody et al. Music by Alexandre Desplat. Filmed in Germany and the United Kingdom. Language English. Released in February 2014 [Germany] and March 2014 [United Kingdom and United States]. The film was inspired by some of the works of Zweig, especially The World of Yesterday, Beware of Pity, and Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman.
