Inspired by the newly published Arabic translation ʿUnf al-diktātūriyyah [The Violence of Dictatorship] of Castellio gegen Calvin oder Ein Gewissen gegen die Gewalt, the Iraqi journalist criticizes the bigoted politics of the then Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and advices him to read this overt criticism of dictatorship. Quoting an unnamed Arab news agency, the Iraqi author says that the Arabic translation of Castellio gegen Calvin oder Ein Gewissen gegen die Gewalt became the most widely read book among the occupiers of the Mīdān al-Taḥrīr, the Tahreer Square, in Cairo
