"Mater Dolorosa. Die Briefe von Nietzsches Mutter an Overbeck" in Neues Wiener Tageblatt [Wien], 21 December 1937, pp. 2-3

This is a review of: Der kranke Nietzsche. Briefe seiner Mutter an Franz Overbeck. Edited by Erich F. Podach. Wien: Bermann-Fischer Verlag, 1937. The volume contains 68 letters, 19 January 1889 - April 1897. 60 letters are written to Franz Overebck. There are, however, four letters written to Franz Overbeck and his wife Ida; four letters written to Ida Overbeck; and one letter to Heinrich Koeselitz. Letter V contains a letter from Emily Fynn to Franziska Nietzsche [Frau Pastor Nietzsche] and letter XV contains a letter from Dr. Langbehn to Heinrich Koeselitz. The letters are printed on pp. (1)-208. Pages (209)-258 contain notes and further explanatory data to the letters. The source of these letters is the estate of Ida Overbeck-Rothpletz who died in Basel on 26 November 1933
